Huawei[1] is all set to launch a series of smartphones next month. The Shenzen-based manufacturer will announce smartphones in its new flagship series, Huawei P20, in March 2018. The company has reportedly sent press invites for an event that will take place in Paris on March 27. Huawei was expected to launch new handsets at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, but it now appears that it will host a separate event to unveil its new series.
As per GSMArena, Huawei's new smartphone could[2] either be called P11 or P20. Another report by Android Central points to the P20 name[3] via Huawei trademark filings. Also, famous tipster Roland Quandt had previously revealed[4] that Huawei is working on a three new smartphones: the Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Lite, and Huawei P20 Plus.
Earlier in December 2017, a report had suggested that Huawei is planning to launch[5] three new smartphones as part of its 2018 roadmap. At a press conference in Israel, held by Electra Consumer Products (an importer of Huawei phones), plans for the Huawei P20 series were claimed to have been revealed. Interestingly, the report also mentioned that two other smartphones, with codenames Maya and Salina, will be launched by Huawei in the first quarter of 2018.
