Bayonetta 3 for the Nintendo Switch[1] was revealed at The Game Awards 2017[2]. While the first game, Bayonetta[3] released on the PS3, Xbox 360, and later PC, Bayonetta 3 will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. This is similar to how Bayonetta 2 was exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U alone.
Nintendo showed off a teaser for the game at The Game Awards 2017 though no release date was given. Its description on YouTube is equally sparse saying little else other than it's in development for the Nintendo Switch, much like Metroid Prime 4's E3 2017 announcement.
It wasn't all about vagaries from Nintendo though. Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 are coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 16 next year.
Developed by PlatinumGames, Bayonetta released to critical acclaim on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2009. However it didn't sell enough to warrant a sequel according to then published Sega. This resulted in Nintendo stepping in to ensure Bayonetta 2 was released. Much to the ire of fans, it was a Wii U exclusive. But with the Nintendo Switch selling as well as it has, we doubt too many will have a problem with Bayonetta 3 being exclusive to it. More so with the first two games soon to be made available shortly.
