Asus has slashed the price of the ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) by Rs. 2,000, which now makes it available at a price of Rs. 12,999 in India. The new price is effective on both online and offline purchases of the smartphone. Asus says that the ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) will be available, as before, via popular e-commerce websites such as Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal as well as retail stores including the company's own exclusive store across India.

To recall, the Asus ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL)[1] was made available[2] in India back in December and was launched at Rs. 17,999. The smartphone later received further price cuts bringing down the price to Rs. 14,999.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) (Review[3]) features a large 4100mAh battery, which also helps the smartphone double up as a power bank. Other highlights include hybrid dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) support, a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, and runs on the company's ZenUI 3.0 skin on top.


It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash, apart from an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 84-degree wide-angle lens.

The 32GB of inbuilt storage on the ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The smartphone weighs 175 grams, and measures 151.4x76.24x8.3mm. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB, and FM radio. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor....
