The iPhone X[1], iPhone 8[2], and iPhone 8 Plus[3] launch event has started with Apple CEO Tim Cook taking the stage, starting with a short remembrance to Steve Jobs, the company's co-founder. The event is being held at the Steve Jobs Theater on the new Apple Campus. The launch event will see the tenth anniversary iPhone - expected to be called iPhone X - take centrestage, while iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus take over from the last year's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Along with the new smartphones, Apple[4] is also said to be launching several other products, such as the LTE-capable Apple Watch[5] Series 3, an Apple TV[6] model with 4K and HDR support, new AirPods[7], and even a new iPod touch[8] model.

But it will be iPhone X that everyone will be on top of everyone's mind, with its bezel-less design and facial recognition, among other features. If trends from previous years' iPhone events are anything to go by, we can also expect potshots at the state of Android updates[9] as well.

As mentioned above, the two biggest features of the iPhone X will be the bezel-less design and facial recognition authentic system called Fae ID that is said to replace the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the new model.
