It seems like Xiaomi[1] is gearing up for a global launch as the company has teased the launch of a Mi series smartphone on September 5. As the company has mentioned that the launch will see the global unveiling of a flagship smartphone with dual cameras, it might launch the Mi 5X[2] handset, which has only been launched in China, at the event. Apart from that, Xiaomi could possibly launch is its heavily-anticipated Mi Mix 2[3] smartphone at the event as well. We might see the launch of a completely new flagship at the September 5 event.

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Mi 5X comes with a dual rear camera setup with one 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with 1.25-micron pixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture, and another 12-megapixel telephoto with 1-micron pixel sensor and f/2.6 aperture. At front, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel camera with real-time beautification.
