After a delayed launch in the UK[1], the Nokia 6[2] has finally gone on sale in the country. The smartphone is currently available with retailer Carphone Warehouse exclusively, and the unlocked variant is priced at GBP 199.99 (roughly Rs. 16,800). The Black, Blue, Copper, and Silver variants are being sold on the site.

This is in line with a previous report indicating the Nokia 6 would launch in the UK market on August 2, while the Nokia 5[3] would arrive in the market on August 16. The Nokia 3 is already being sold in the UK. As mentioned earlier, the Nokia 6 is only available [4]on Carphone Warehouse only for now, and apart from the SIM-free variant, carrier-locked plans are also available from O2, Vodafone, and EE.

In India, the Nokia 6 has been launched for Rs. 14,999, and registrations for the first sale on August 23[5] have already begun. The smartphone has also gone on sale in US[6] and Australia[7] last month.

The Nokia 5, on the other hand, is priced at GBP 179.99 (roughly Rs. 15,000), and it will be available on Carphone Warehouse, EE, Argos, Tesco, Virgin, and Amazon in the UK from August 16.

Separately, HMD Global[8] has published its Nokia Camera app on Google Play. The sole purpose of this unbundling from the smartphone firmware is that the company can fix any issues via an OTA update, and not rely on system updates to make. The current version of the Nokia Camera app is at version 6.0080.07, and only HMD Nokia device holders will be able to download[9] the app....
