Telecom operators are desperately trying every trick in the book to combat Reliance Jio's[1] 4G plans. BSNL[2] has launched two new prepaid[3] recharge packs, its second unveil this week after it earlier launched the Chaukka 444 plan with 360GB bundled data[4]. The new BSNL Rs. 768 combo plan offers 3GB of data for 90 days and Rs. 768 credited to your account for voice calls. The BSNL 599 plan on the other hand adds a credit of Rs. 507 for all purposes (calls, SMS, data) and Rs. 279 credit exclusively for voice calls. This plan is valid for 30 days. BSNL is also giving additional benefits for the Rs. 768 recharge pack. If you do a recharge of Rs. 110, Rs. 210 and Rs. 290, you'll get a balance of Rs. 115, Rs. 220, and Rs. 310, respectively.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 now available via offline retailers
The Xiaomi Redmi 4[5] (Review[6]) is the most recent budget offering from the Chinese smartphone maker, which was initially available via Amazon[7] India and Mi.com. However, the company has confirmed to Gadgets 360[8] that the phone is now available via offline retailers too. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 had been launched in India in three memory/ storage variants. The 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant was been priced at Rs. 6,999, the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant comes at Rs. 8,999, while the 4GB RAM/ 64GB Xiaomi Redmi 4 variant price in India is Rs. 10,999.
