WhatsApp has been testing the Recall feature[1] since the start of the year, but it hasn’t been enabled in the stable version yet. The feature allows you to recall your sent message from a chat till up to five minutes. Now, a fresh leak suggests that the Recall feature is imminent to arrive, and may come as soon as WhatsApp v2.17.30+ for iPhone.

Tipster WABetaInfo has tweeted[2] that the Recall feature will be remotely enabled in version 2.17.30+. However, WhatsApp has already rolled out version 2.17.30 for iOS[3], and the feature does not seem to have been added. WABetaInfo adds[4] that it isn't certain when WhatsApp will enable the feature, but it would be with version 2.17.30 or higher. The tipster wrote, “This does not exclude that it will be enabled in a future update (so I wrote "+"). The .30 update is perfect to see enabled it.”

Furthermore, the tipster also claims[5] that the Contacts tab that was removed from iOS ever since the Status feature was introduced may be slated for a comeback. WABetaInfo suggests that the Contact section will show up under the Status section, and WhatsApp[6] is currently in the phase of testing it. There is no tangible timeline as to when this will roll out though.

The same tipster also suggests[7] that the newly introduced Status feature is set to arrive on WhatsApp Web as well. The tipster shared screenshots of the feature in testing, and claims that you will be able to see, and even reply to them just as it is on the app.
