Xiaomi Mi Max 2[1], the successor to last year's Mi Max[2], has been launched in China[3]. The phablet - available in 64GB and 128GB variants - sports a 6.44-inch display, 5300mAh battery, improved one-handed use, updated design, and stereo speakers. It goes on sale in China on June 1, but no release date for India has been revealed just yet. As for the rest of the specifications, Xiaomi[4] Mi Max 2 packs the octa-core 2GHz Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, fingerprint sensor, and IR blaster. The Android Nougat smartphone has a 12-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and dual-LED flash, and 5-megapixel shooter in front.
OnePlus 5 will be the first flagship in India with Snapdragon 835 SoC, company claims
OnePlus has just confirmed[5] that the OnePlus 5 will be running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835[6] SoC. But that's not all, as the company has also claimed that the OnePlus 5[7] will be the first flagship smartphone[8] in India to use the processor. While Xiaomi has launched the Mi 6[9] in China and Samsung has the Galaxy S8 and S8+ with the Snapdragon 835 SoC in the US, Indian consumers are yet to get their hands on a device with it. If OnePlus’[10] claims are true, this should change soon.
